Artisans in the Bundelkhand region were creating exquisite handmade handicrafts but had no digital presence. Sales were limited to local markets and middlemen who took heavy commissions. The DC Handicrafts office needed a platform that could showcase products, handle orders, and directly connect artisans with buyers — all while being simple enough for non-tech-savvy craftspeople to manage.

How We Solved It
We designed and built a full-featured e-commerce portal at bundelicrafts.com with artisan profiles, product catalogues with high-quality imagery, a secure checkout flow, and an admin panel for the DC Handicrafts team to manage listings and orders. The platform highlights the story behind each craft and artisan, creating an emotional connection with buyers. We optimised for mobile-first access since most artisans manage their profiles from smartphones, and implemented multi-language support for Hindi and English.
