A government-backed e-commerce portal that takes handmade crafts from the Bundelkhand region straight to buyers across India — cutting out the middlemen who used to take the margin.
What they were facing.
Bundelkhand's artisans make extraordinary handicrafts and sell them for a fraction of their worth. With no digital presence, they were stuck with local markets and middlemen who pocketed most of the profit. The DC Handicrafts office wanted to connect artisans directly to buyers nationwide — but the platform had to be simple enough for craftspeople with no tech background to run from a phone.
How we solved it.
We built bundelicrafts.com end to end: artisan profiles, image-rich product catalogues, secure checkout via Razorpay, and an admin panel the DC Handicrafts team runs themselves. Every listing leads with the story of the craft and the person who made it, so buyers connect with the maker, not just the product. Because artisans manage everything from their phones, we built mobile-first, with Hindi and English support so language is never the barrier.
